Case Study: Visit Bloomington
Visit Bloomington is the destination marketing organization for Bloomington and Monroe County, Indiana, home of Indiana University.
They wanted to encourage people living within an eight-hour drive radius to request a physical copy of their visitors guide.
Approach
The 30-day “Golden Ticket” social media ad campaign was created. It incentivized requests by letting people know five of the visitors guides sent out would include a special Golden Ticket that earned recipients a Bloomington getaway prize package.
Results
Visit Bloomington received nearly 6,000 requests for the guide and acquired nearly 6,000 new names and addresses (email and home) for their database.
